The thing is.... in many cases, "we" can cure cancer in people that want to be cured. But, a lot of us don't care to utilize modern medicine until it is too late. And, a lot of us choose to get cancer. I know a lady that died of lung cancer this month about 2 weeks of going to the doctors. She was a smoker for decades and got sick, and sicker, and finally on death's door dragged her self-imposed cancerous lungs into the ER. Another lady I knew that died of lung cancer years ago was smoking in her hospital gown at the smoking section in the hospital parking lot just 20 minutes before she died. I was listening to the Supreme Court arguments for and against Obamacare this month replayed on a local radio station, and no one brought up (in the time frame I listened to) how absolutely insane it is to force non-smokers to buy insurance so their money can help pay the hospital bills of people that kill themselves smoking.

Saw this article and it made me think about one of my favorite shows ... Ancient Aliens! The bigger the rock lifted into the air, the more questions about how the monolith was transported and erected. Okay, so there are no alien artifacts showing up at this excavation. But, I really do enjoy watching those shows and wondering about why man has done the things we've done throughout history.

The BLM is seeking public comments before they roundup and remove of 630 wild horses from the Jackson Mountains Herd here in northwestern Nevada. They want to do this in July when desert temperatures are high. We've had record breaking heat in the 90s in May here in Reno, so I wouldn't be surprised that by July we'll be facing 100+ days. This time of year the mares will be/are having their babies, so in July they'll still be young foals and the mares will be lactating. Even the BLM doesn't typically round-up during this season, so they're unsure just how disastrous the roundup will prove for the herd. One thing is certain, horses will be injured, suffer, and quite probably die. The public can complain about this prior to the round up. If you'd like to find out more check out that link above.
